Do not trust your vehicle with this mechanic. We took our vehicle to him which had lost its timing belt. He kep calling us and incrementing the cost of the repair. When we went to pick the car up he said, and I quote "From now on you'll have to drive it like a go cart". We waited until early morning and drove it to another mechanic (because the condition he had it in was unsafe to operate around other motorists). By that afternoon not only was the original problem fixed but the added problems this mechanic had caused were also fixed. This guy may be ok with older engines (think carburetors) but newer engines are not his fortes. If he'd been upfront about that it would have been understood but the whole way he handled this was seedy, underhanded, and very unprofessional.
